SCIENCE OF THE SURF SUMMER 2010 SEMINAR SERIES

Please come along to one of the popular SOS talks this summer. Each talk goes for about an hour (including questions) and is a visually powerful and entertaining slide show explaining how our coast formed, how waves are created and how they break, the difference between safe and unsafe waves, everything you ever wanted to know about rip currents, and why beaches are different and how they behave.

All talks are FREE and open to all. If you can, please let the Council contact know you are coming so that we have an idea of numbers. The talk is geared towards adults although children 8+ will definitely be able to follow along.
